I'm trying to produce a one off animated short based on a graphic novel series I've made, released as a book in 2022, called Taylor Zander.
The cartoon is being designed in the style of classic animated serials from the 1960s, and I've cast everyone in the cartoon, except for one character, the title character herself, Taylor Zander.
To give a quick rundown, Taylor Zander is a 25-year-old black adventurer, and the stories take place in the 1950's.
The only image I have currently available is the book cover, which I shall attach to this page, along with an animated test of the character, which is currently incomplete.
Taylor is a hard character to cast because she has to have a particular type of voice. She needs to be played by someone who is, or can convincingly sound, British, and not as a cockney or anything like that. The generic English, as some Americans might call it.
The storyboards for the production are all but complete, but I cannot animate a story when the leading lady has yet to be cast.
If anyone is interested, please let me know. I have many voice acting friends, but none seem to be able to match what I'm looking for with the character.
It's a one time job, this project, as my expertise lie mostly in graphic novel work, but I wanted to do this for fun. As a result, this is unfortunately non profit work, but I'm hoping maybe someone here will still be willing to try it out.
