Best candy ever?

You read the title. What (do you think) is the best candy you've ever tried? Curious.

For me, it's gotta be Twizzlers, Ovalteenies, and our local candies like Potchi (strawberry-milk sugary gummy agalmation), ube, and Choc-nut chocolate candies. What about you? Oh yeah, I forgot, Kinder Joys are great too. Don't you lecture me with your knowledge, I deserve to consume little kid candy no matter which age I am!

And oh by the way I also really like Swedish licorice. You know, the one that tastes like burnt tires. And yes I like the salted variant too. I'm a monster.

in terms of taste I'd say swedish fish, god I love swedish fish so much.

in terms cool factor I'd say zotz and poprocks. I have really fond memories of my dad introducing me to zotz and poprocks as a wee lad.

I prefer to classify most sweets like chocolates as candy, to keep things simple. Is it incorrect? Yes. Is it convenient? Also yes! And oh my you like licorice too!??!?!?!??!?!

i LOVE black licorice when its done right. there used to be a company that made real licorice hard candies and they were amazing. but i bought some once and it tastes like pure sugar, no herbaly-ness you get from actual good licorice

I remember trying 100 Grand once. I will always remember them as the sweetest SWEETEST things on Earth, and not in a good way.

I have a fondness for the texture of Chewits.

They taste bad, they have wasteful individual packaging, the packaging on each one often gets stuck to the sweet and requires getting hands sticky to remove it, usually you end up eating part of the packaging as it refuses to come off...

Basically they are terrible. But I eat things based on texture rather than taste and something about their texture is soothing and comforting so that is why I eat these sweets that are otherwise factually terrible.
