Guys, I accidentally chose the wrong file and published somebody's work. How many days do I have to wait before I get unbanned?

Generally, a ban would be accompanied by the expiration date, but I'm not sure if this has changed since. You could try contacting any of the game and movie moderators to determine when your ban expires.
As for an appeal, I'm not sure how you'd go about proving that it was due to an accident, as they would probably have heard that excuse multiple times in the past.
