I logged off to go finish the dishes and play a game, and suddenly the "blue wall" is red again?

I'm seeing echoes of 2016 here. I realize there is a "red mirage" effect from the mail-in ballots, but how many of the ballots will make up the gap once the state starts counting them tomorrow remains to be seen.

Obviously a Texas or a Florida would have been nice, and it's infuriating that probably 10 million dem votes in those states equates to nothing in EC, but those were must wins for Trump, and decorative wins for Biden. Plenty of actual swing states to go.

It's progressively slipping away from being a solid Republican stronghold, though, with constantly changing demographics. I honestly could see it becoming a blue state in 2024 or 2028.

I'm putting my money on Biden, and if I'm wrong I'm wrong.

I saw that Biden is the projected winner of Illinois which is where I live, which isn't really a surprise at all. We have some republicans here, but I don't think it's any secret that we're majorly a democratic state.

Just as I predicted, it's looking more and more like a Trump victory to me. It looks like the only state Biden will be able to flip might be Arizona and that's it, and correct me if I'm wrong but that's not enough to win.

Well at this point it seems that the current trajectory stays consistent, then Trump could potentially win with a maximum of 283 electoral votes. That's not a huge win but it's a win nonetheless. And yeah, Arizona is definitely going the Biden path. 54% to 45% doesn't seem too breakable.

Ohio has just been called for Trump.

Many of the PA statewide races are now heavily trending GOP. They'll release a final update at midnight and reconvene to count ballots at 9 AM when everyone's had some sleep.

And with that, I REALLY need to go to bed.

My guess is, Trump gets Ohio, Texas, and Florida, North Carolina and Georgia, Alaska, Montana, all those goodies he wants. Surprisingly enough, all that doesn't push him over 270 (240)

Biden will probably get Minnesota, Arizona, Hawaii and Nevada called today or tomorrow. (Which will put him at 244)

I think Biden will also get Maine, Pennsylvania and Michigan by late/mail-in counts. (Which would put him at 284)

Wisconsin, I really don't know. I'd filter it under the same as PA and MI but seeing how Ohio is currently is, I wouldn't rule it out for Trump (250)

My insomnia brain is getting a bit foggy, but it appears that if Biden can hold out and win as projected in AZ and GA (predicted a small win there), he only then needs to pick up 2/3 of the Midwestern MI, WI or PA and he's clinched it?

Albeit GA is Close. And the Midwest might take a while to count their votes.. Although Trump looks ahead now the postal votes are being counted last which will favour Dems.

Trump is pretty much definitely winning Georgia, NC and Wisconsin. That will give him an extra 41 electoral votes. He'll just have to hope that the rest of the pink states stay on track from there.

I am honestly surprised that Dems would expect Texas to actually turn blue, when so far, Florida slipped through their grasp, while Georgia, North Carolina and Pennsylvania is slipping through their fingers. Arizona might be a consolation prize, but it won’t matter if the Dems can’t get at least 2 other swing states that the GOP appears to be leading.

Right now Biden is leading in Wisconsin, though.

The real problem is voter surpression. Biden has received 50% of the popular vote. And yet he might lose the election. That doesn't make sense to anyone.

I personally doubt he will. He's been ahead well ahead of Trump almost this entire time and I think it's safe to say Michigan and PA will be turning blue soon enough.
