Personally, I think the discussion/submission thread dichotomy is kinda unnecessary and ultimately hard to enforce. Keeping the contest in one place as much as possible is just easier for everyone and less confusing for newbies.

@CloudNinja If I'm interpreting the description of your HooNose remix correctly, I think it also violates the NG audio guidelines, which bans copyrighted or unlicensed samples. Did you use the project file with the original artist's permission? If not, please <a href="https://www.newgrounds.com/wiki/help-information/terms-of-use/audio-guidelines">read the guidelines</a> and then choose and/or make a piece that fits them if you want to participate in the contest. Thanks.
@X3LL3N I think your track has a similar problem, as it seems to use the original vocals of Kotori's track. Do you have proof that you got permission from her to remix the track, or that the track is in the public domain? Otherwise, I need to ask for a different track for you too. Thanks.

Well, Kotori released the stems and even made a tweet about it :

It's one of the 3 tracks that Kotori made remix stems for us to use.
So yeah, technically they are free to use as long as you credit the original author, people like Sharks already made remixes of these, I don't earn money from it either so I don't see any problems to be honest
But if I have to change my entry, I guess I can do this round with my original track called Crisis
If you want you can ask Kotori in Discord but, she'll probably end up saying she doesn't really care about it
