Hello There!
I am an avid fan of the Super Smash Bros. series and I hope you are too, because it’s 20th anniversary is coming up! In anticipation for this event, I am hosting a collaboration in which animators of all sorts are working together to create one giant animation. All you need to do is create an animation that is at least 5 seconds long. Yes. That short. Each animation will correspond to a verse from the song “Lifelight” from the newest entry to the series Super Smash Bros. Ultimate/Special. You are free to use virtually any characters and any scenario. We currently have notable animators such as Amar'eTheArtist (creator of Melee Kart!! and Super Mario Odyssey - Mario Tries to Get a Moon) and Kirbopher (creator of TOME and Brawl Taunts), but we need more people to make this passion project a reality! If you would like to participate in our collab, use the invite link at the bottom of this message to go to our Discord page to find the FULL details of the project stated on the Mission Statement channel of our server. There, you can pitch to us your idea and discuss with our ever-growing community of animators how you want to go about making your animation, ask for technical support, or just relax and chat.
We would love to have any of you on the team whether you're a graphic designer, animator, or video editing consultant! If you really want to dedicate yourself to the cause, you can also apply to be a moderator for our server. In doing so, you will have access FIRST-HAND to all of our private discussions in our “Elite Smashers” voice chat as well as have a say in the direction we take for the collab moving forward. You will also be credited at the end of the video in our “Special Thanks” section for all of your hard work.
The team and I are looking forward to working with any of you if you so choose to participate. We are hoping that this animation will properly give the series a climactic send-off. We are more than just animators. We are a community of fans who are passionate about the Super Smash Bros. franchise and want to give it the proper send-off it truly deserves.

Flash 5.5, 6, and CC are allowed. Actionscript 3.0 must be used set at 30 frames per second. Dimensions must be 1920x1080. Read the Mission Statement for details on other formats you may want to use along with how to export the video. We'll mainly be exporting .swf files with Swivel. Coauthors are determined by what role(s) they chose to be such as animator, graphic designer, video editor, video editing consultant, moderator, and lead staff member. This project is made entirely by the community for the community. As such, this project is entirely non-profit and the final product will not be monetized in any way.
