The two characters are clear stereotypes, but if you can bring an added layer of intrigue to them, that's great. They should feel like real people.
Characters:
MERV, mid-40's male, dorky teacher/chaperone at the prom. Well meaning but completely out of touch and condescending.
"Lame party. Ammirite, my man?"
"When I was your age, everyone sucked. I felt sad about so much stuff. I felt sad that the world sucked. I was sad that my parents sucked. I was sad that… war and stuff sucked. It all sucked. But you know what I realized?"
SPIDER, 17-year-old Emo Teen. Mostly silent. Either a deep or raspy voice. Somewhat monotone, but capable of genuine concern.
(Concerned, slightly urgent)
"Wait, no--
No, but---"
(quiet, Matter of Fact)
" I took a few sips and I’m already feeling it, so I stopped."
