Need a little advice on hair values

I'm struggling with the hair value. I don't want it to be too light or the back round will blend with it too much. And keeping it this dark is just too...well you know what I mean. I've started on rendering the hair on the left <--- side. but it's still too...bleh

Any advice for getting the values right?

(And yes you Daz fanatics will probably troll me on using Daz props and anatomy to reference but I suck at anatomy.)

The color of the hair seems natural in this case. If you're asking about the shine of the hair, I would make it more of a light gray using only a small bit of it on the hair. Using a more colored lighting might start to seem out of place on your character.

Crazy Artist, Roboticist and Programmer... that's about it.
