It’s been far too long since we’ve hosted an OFFICIAL collab on the site, but after talking about it for a while, we’re ready to get the wheels rolling!
With the upcoming Dragon Ball FighterZ game coming out, we’re celebrating with an all new, official, Dragon Ball Z Flash Collab!! Call your girlfriend and let her know you’ll be a shut in for a while, cause the best new thing just sprung up. With a large roster of stellar animators on board, AND a large pool of prizes for entrants, this is gonna shape up to be a pinnacle of web content. This is open to any Newgrounds members ready to dogpile on this behemoth of a collab project!
APPLYING
We’re opening submissions to the community on a selective basis, while there’s a roster of people on board already, we’d like to give people the opportunity to join as well. You can apply by submitting your Username/Email/Demo Reel OR best sample of your work through our Google forms, we’ll then let you know if you’ve been accepted and send you an invite to the Discord Server.
Don’t take it personally if you don’t hear back, we’ll probably host this again next year so there’s always another chance to get in!

DEADLINE
- Submissions are due by JANUARY 15th*
- No one likes when collabs drag ooooooon for eternity and beyond, we want to be able to release this just before the game’s release. MUST be submitted on the 15th or sooner.
GUIDELINES / NOTES
- Keep it pertaining to Dragon Ball Z and relevant to that subject, doesn’t need to be geared directly for the upcoming game and show references are welcome!

- Humor focused collab, this isn’t a Twitter GIF where you do 100 impact frame sakuga animations. While action isn’t prohibited, make sure it’s involved in the joke so this doesn’t become just a showcase of just fight scenes. AGAIN, action is allowed, comedy is a must.
- Yes, we’re all familiar with Dragonzball Peepee but try not to be derivative of that parody. No shitty memes / low hanging fruit! Be fresh and use your own special flavor in it.
- Have fun with what you’re doing! Make something you’re proud of and enjoy.
- Progress can be shared but hold off on posting your full pieces til the collab is released. Keep it more screenshots / gifs.
- Work with any character you’d like, doesn’t have to default to Goku and Vegeta automatically!
-This really isn’t as picky as it sounds, generally you’re free to create whatever you want, key things are just humor / originality.
