Aesthetic and Vaporwave

This topic is for the musical style Vaporwave, and the visual aspect of it Aesthetic, both often stylized as V A P O R W A V E and A E S T H E T I C.

Vaporwave is a slowed down 1980s jazz and pop synth in what becomes sort of a retro synth atmosphere. The word "vaporwave can be thought of as describing the atmosphere of the style 'vapor' as well as being derived from the term "vaporware," which is discontinued or never-released software.

The style is both a parody and a tip of the hat to the old sounds of the 1980s in film and music, pop culture, and advertisement.

This page is for discussion on the topic, song sharing, news, events, but most importantly serves to provide a e s t h e t I c artwork for fans of the style as well as other content creators.

Aesthetic is basically arts and crafts for Vaporwave, this page is best placed here in the Art forum, as creation of visuals is what I'm trying to go for.

I AM, however, looking into tools for making music, so I plan to expand into the music forum then.

OH, whoops. Totally misunderstood the point of the thread; thought this was only for the music itself. lol

The appeal of it is really nice though, I always loved the retro feeling they've had.
