im an animator and i would very much like to add sound effects to my videos but my when i use my current video editing software cyberlink power director 11, sound effects i add seem to disappear when i play the video. i was wandering if there were any good free editing programs out there i could use to add sound effects and render in HD.
note: i dont use flash for the sound effects because it becomes very laggy

If you're already using Adobe Flash, then you should have access to the other Adobe software (pirated, bought, or CC), I recommend Premiere then. Its not the most stable program, but has got a lot better over time, unlike Flash haha. But its simple and easy.
If some how you bought Flash a long time ago or something, but I googled it and it looks like Lightworks is pretty functional... but apparently hard to learn. But it looks a lot like Premiere, so it can't be that hard.
