Ben Affleck is Batman.
The actor will replace Christian Bale as Bruce Wayne in the upcoming untitled Superman-Batman feature for Warner Bros., the studio announced Thursday.
And DC/Warner shot in his foot with this decision. Affleck is not a good actor. I'm not excited about this movie anymore, not until I see a trailer that changes my mind.
Well Rises sucked so I wasn't excited for this one either way.

To be fair, the badness of Daredevil wasn't really his acting's fault. It just had the bad timing of being in that era where every action movie ripped off the matrix.

I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. I remember a time when everyone thought that Heath Ledger as the Joker was going to be a disaster since he was just "that dude from that gay Brokeback Mountain film".
So, let's wait to judge him as Batman.

Maybe. I don't know if it would be possible to do the Christian Bale version of the character in a crossover movie, though. How would you have a dark and moody character from a grimy and realistic world coexist with someone as goofy and unrealistic as Superman?

Also there's small fact that in that continuity Bruce Wayne is broke and legally dead. The last thing I read said they were offering him like 60 million to do it, which is about as absurdly high as you can get without offering him points on the gross, which for something like this they do not want to do.

I like Christian Bale a lot but he was kind of a shitty Batman; the Dark Knight series was really only as strong as each of their antagonists. Ben Affleck has a good face for playing Bruce Wayne and I haven't seen him in enough movies to like or hate him, so i'm pretty indifferent to his casting. Hopefully this movie will be more than a popcorn flick like basically every superhero movie ever.
