I played a game sometime in 2011-12 (although I'm almost sure it was 2011). It had black and white pixels. You played as a small black...glob, I guess is the word, and there was a sort of parent figure who would either praise you or scold you depending on what you did (jumping on triangles, avoiding squares, etc). It was a world made of blocks, but obeying/disobeying (I can't remember which) caused you to see the details, like trees and vines, but disobeying/obeying, caused color to appear in the world. You could jump and walk, I think.
