There were a lot of amazing musicians in 2012, but my vote is on Kor-Rune. All of his pieces were beyond amazing. The production, composition, performance, originality...Man, his work is consistently mind blowing.

Lucky Day Forever was awesome, but you can't deny that the main idea has been done over and over again. Is it unfair that I expect originality more from a deep and beautiful movie like Lucky Day Forever, but less so from a violent funny movie like Prosnorkulus (which was awesome as well)? Maybe...

Can't really pick a musician, since I don't know enough musicians, but I agree that Kor-Rune does great stuff.
There is no spot for an artist of the year, but if there was one, I'd nominate Fartur-Ast. His frontpaged art and the wall art he created for the winter theme are only gems in the treasure he posted on NG throughout the year.
I really liked those movies nominations, but these 3 animations deserve to be nominated if not one of them to win, as I think they were the best of 2012.

i was not that impressed by Abobo, very cut-and-dry...Orange Roulette set better themes, atmosphere, and feeling. Infectionator 2, despite being a "suicide simulator"....is the most original, ambitious, and addicting Flash game in a very long time.
Infectionator 2 should win because it had the most work put in that paid off, and for god's sake....it's the highest rated game on NG...or was. Until some little assholes spammed it out of the roster.
