That's really sad to hear. I went to live ska last night, and honestly it's one of the few types of music I personally deem to be worth seeing live. Entire crowds of people being friendly and happy instead of trying to look cool, every single time.
Also more on topic I guess Ghost Town is close to being sad, but now I think about it I feel joy every time I put it on. Fuck me ska is so good.

Well if we're talking ska revival I can understand it being difficult to find. The majority of that is upbeat skanking music.

Probably. I'll check them out. Up until now I've not had much reason to. I litrally don't know anything about them, if they're a band or a genre. Every time I've heard the name it's been associated with some furry thing but it was pretty close minded of me.

This one isn't terribly sad. It's about one of the band members watching this guy getting his ass kicked in a fight and how all the people there were just watching and not doing anything. He struggles to determine if he should step in or just not give a fuck.

They are a ska band that ventures out to build their own unique style out of a blend of various influences. Their main influences like The Beat and Madness were the same way. Everything doesn't have to be pure to the confines of a genre. Thats what kills great music.
