You do realize I only commented on the hair/hood part, right? The least you could do is read what I wrote..
I tend to build things from the inside out, if you're curious why I drew my own face.

That is true and Thanks. You are now one of my inspirations. I'm really looking forward to creating some cool digital art pieces from scratch. I hope that I can move my traditional skill to the digital world with ease.

But realize it's a work ethic and honesty that does that, not a username. Best of luck going forward, I'm glad you're not tracing photos anymore.

It's still a worse sketch than the original regardless, if you're going to visually correct someone make sure your skills are on a much higher level then them

The size and shape of the head was fine, and the hair was layered on top of it.
But it's nice to know you were trying to help.
Anyways, OP, in order to stop you from mirroring your pictures, I would suggest flipping/inverting the image and drawing the other side rather than just copy/pasting. Correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems you're worried about making one side more lopsided or unsymmetrical than the other, but by flipping it you can make observations, adjustments, and corrections.

Kashi is right, learn from simple small mistakes. Take big risks sometimes non-symmetrical can be more pleasing to the eye. That unless you have some type of OCD o_o. not saying you do, but you definitely have the skill to make some kick-ass pieces of your own.
Art is vast as Love is deep, Trying to Explain the two is like trying to discover everything there is about the ocean.
...true

I like the style, however this character looks very... Androgynous to me. Good for anything Final Fantasy related, and most forms of animated porn, but I think you should amp up either the masculinity or the femininity (that's fun to say out loud, try it) and turn the other down a notch.
Good idea. I just did a quick sketch of this. Are the shape and features ok for a female?

Oh I know lol I realize the last one isn't mirrored ^_^ I mean the digital sketches. Just because the sketchbook one isn't ... of amazing quality. I meant, I would like to see you do a full digital sketch without having it mirrored, that's all. Just to see what it would look like compared to what you have put up in this thread so far.
I just put one up of a female. It's a quick sketch, but you can get an idea of my drawing style.

Oh... Mystery solved. :)
Thanks for the critique. The more meat thing makes a lot of sense. I will definitely remember that when I do my new sketches.
I think this is great anatomy man. My gut instinct is that i would have drawn her stance somewhat differently but that's more of a stylistic decision perhaps.
One thing that does look weird is her upper back behind her breasts. It seems to be to close to the chest. In otherwords there should have been more meat behind her breasts and arms, if that makes sense. Good job tho i think its great, especially if you drew this without a reference.

How about we see something that isn't a quick sketch, This thread is really lacking in the art department. So maybe fix that and post some more complete pictures with like composition and all that shit.
I'm working on some magnificent digital art and all of it is going to get uploaded to the portal when I'm completed. The reason why I'm uploading quick sketches, is to give the people an idea of my style. I'm assuming that when they see my completed stuff they will like it more because they have seen my sketches before that. I'm kind of a neat freak, so I'm thinking about uploading all my sketches on a new thread and uploading all of my completed stuff to the portal. I definitely hear what you're saying though.

Oh, thanks for the info. I really need to read the rules. Maybe I should find a way to delete this one so can make a sketch thread.

Feel free to post your artwork in the forum to increase your chances of getting scouted and get feedback. However, keep all your pics in one thread, so that your work is not dispersed around the art forum.

Her spine looks really uncomfortably twisted.

The common Boobs and Butt Pose.
I think whenever someone tries to draw a character showing off both breasts and buttocks I think it gets a little contorted, twisted even, this happens alot in comic books Like in the Catwoman zero issue
Its a common mistake I notice:
1
2
3
4
5 even men do it
wurt?
wow
I think If you're going to do the Boobs and butt pose you should look at how humans do it, such as the dark knight's catwoman in the image below.

I noticed the mirror right away, it makes it look extremely symmetrical (duh!), and I think it would look better without it. The pics are very nice btw. The chick in the first picture does look like she is squinting, probably 'cause you mirrored it.
Thanks and excuse my Obsessive compulsive disorder.

It's nice and all, but it definitely could use some work. Keep trying and I'm sure you'll come up with something neat! Just like me!
NEOvivid you are one of the best quick sketchers on newgrounds. I am looking forward to seeing your finished work.

Thanks. The nose is blurry because of the light in the room. I was thinking the same when I seen in on the computer screen.

I'm creating a new thread and I would like this one to be deleted or locked, so that I don't violate the rules.

Why? Stick to the one thread please
OK, I'll try. I'm a neat freak and this thread seems so disorganized.

Nothing will change by starting a new thread. Also why do you always post above the previous text? it's jaunting.
