Oh my god why haven't I seen these before?
I don't really feel passionate about either of the finalists to be honest.
I've loved watching Spain over the past couple of years, but this tournament they've been playing very calculative and most of their matches were downright atrocious. Italy hasn't been impressive either and just kind of struggled their way through with more draws than wins.
Anyway, I think that out of these two Italy still deserves it most and I predicted them as the winners.
I'm running out of teams that I can root for to beat Spain. I really am.

Best part about Spain scoring again?
Getting to see this ridiculously hot Italian man. The anger radiating from him only helps to bring his sexiness out more.

Guess my predictable predictions are right, can't get into this final, it's not even nice football being played

Really? I thought Spain were playing some great stuff in the first half. It's dull now only because it is over. By far the best Spain have played this tournament, and they will be deserved winners in about 25 minutes.
Which is all good for the fantasy league...

They are playing really good, its just the fact that there is no competition, and at around 50 minutes Italy have given up

Golden Boot maybe?
Add this to the hot Italian man earlier and this is my favourite Euros final ever!
Well done Spain, we'll win it in 4 years time. Not to worry.

Even fucking Torres scored.
Okay, first half actually was somewhat entertaining. Second half started great, but after Italy was down to 10 men it was over. Spain scoring another two goals... well, somehow you have to let the clock run down, right?
Also, why on earth where there 3 minutes of stoppage time, and why on earth didn't the ref blow the final whistle earlier? "Oh sure, Spain is 4 goals up, Italy down to 10. OF COURSE they need those extra three minutes!"
Cassillas was very weak today, that was quite surprising. And if you take into account that Spain had lots of missed passes today (my favorite two missed passes are, where one of the defenders tried to change sides, but the ball went out instead. Happened two times, one time on each side, heh). So you wonder why the hell no team seems to be good enough to at least score against them?

Yes, 3 goals, 1 assists, 5 minutes of play time. Fuck him, seriously.
Well, on the other hand... I wouldn't be happier if Italy had won the EC... so it was a lose-lose situation right from the beginning.

You're welcome.
Spain wins, in one of the least exciting finals I've ever seen. First half was decent, but it looked like Italy had already given up after that second goal.
Looking back at the whole tournament, I have to say that this was probably the worst EC I've ever witnessed. Maybe it's because my team got eliminated early and the EC vibe was kinda dead here right at the start, but it's just that I haven't seen a single team actually playing well. Even Spain played quite well below the level they had a couple of years back and their matches were downright atrocious at times, but apparently other teams still can't find an answer to tiki-taka football.
Another thing that made this EC kinda lame to me is that the only surprise (to me at least) was the Netherlands getting knocked out of the tournament with 0 points. For the rest, there were no underdogs making it far into the tournament, no unknown young players getting into the picture... Nothing all that interesting happened.
Maybe it's just me or maybe I missed the good bits of the tournament, but all in all I think this is a very forgettable EC with barely any good football and very few highlights.
GOOD, it's all over. Now normal TV programming can resume... Damn it, wait - I forgot about the Tennis. And then the Olympics. Oh well.
If any of you caught the closing part of the BBC's coverage and were wondering who and what that track was that they played out with, it's an acoustic cover of Thriller by Imogen Heap - she performed it live on Dermot O'Leary's Radio 2 show a while back.

Pfft the BBC is good for only four things. That's shit like the euros and world cup, match of the day, the news and the lottery. And ITV, don't even get me started on that shite.
