One of my dear friends, Mandie LeScum, is suffering from a dreadful bout of depression. She has been thinking about suicide for a long time. She is one of my favorite artists and a really great friend. I don't know what I would do if I knew she was gone. Please people, this really isn't a joke. I want her to feel like there is someone there for her or what ever she needs.

Here is her inbox on tumblr, the site she most frequents. Please tell her something nice or do whatever. She's a really great person, she doesn't deserve to have her life ended so shortly.

In the end, it's not for us to decide when it's someone's time to go.

I hope she makes the right decision herself.

It always seem that the nice types are the ones that always contemplate on suicide or have been near to the thought of it in the past. I honestly did not suspect Lescum would be with this Mental disorder...
Hopefully she'll come to a solution that is best for her.

I've gone through this several times with a friend of mine. He even put a gun to his head once and pulled the trigger, but the gun was messed up and didn't fire. I didn't know what to do. I've punched him over this sort of thing. I once knocked him down and he landed on a cereal bowl and broke it.

Anyway, it's very hard to convince suicidal people, or at least that's my experience. And never take it lightly. There was a person I knew who talked about doing this, but I assumed he was just looking for attention. He disappeared for a while, and I later found out he tried to overdose on prescription drugs, but luckily recovered in the hospital.

Suicide shouldn't be frowned upon. If my live was not worth living for I wouldn't mind an easy way out.

If someone wants to kill themselves they're not gonna stop because some random people they've never met before say that they're life means something. It's not trolling, if you wanna stop a suicide you're gonna have to be there physically... or know her atleast.

there is very little we can do about it. we don't know her personally and we don't know what to say to her. we are stuck.

if you really think she is on the verge of suicide, you should keep a close eye on her and seek professional advice immediately, and don't make a thread about it since it is not going to work.

on a side note, i don't think she will commit suicide. most of the time, suicide warnings are not that obvious.

She feeds on attention. Give her some or she dies.

This, I mean it sucks she's mentally unstable but how much weight some inspiring post from some dude she never met hold? OP try actual people who know her, I'm sure she'd appreciate that ALOT more.

That can be a contributing factor.

Why doesn't she somebody for help. Usually people that are depressed need it, meds do magic.

She needs to decide that she needs help. You can't make somebody do anything they don't want to do.

I've been there. Just talk to her about it, and tell her that she has so much more to live for and stuff. I told my mom about my suicidal feelings once, and she thought it was bullshit, but it wasnt -_-. But im past that now.

Tell her not to do it, and ask her to pray to God and ask him for help.

He always comes through no doubt about it, and whatever may be dressing it's never worth taking life which is so fragile to begin with

I don't like suicide, and you won't find pity from me. Just saying. It's not that I don't hate the person, I just hate when they decide to end it all for a stupid reason. Which is what the excuse it most of the time, a stupid reason.

I am open about it on tumblr but not so much on newgrounds because I know the community here. I might have mentioned it before but I presume no one remembered.

I've been suicidal for 4 years now and even lived through my own mother telling me to go kill myself with honest encouragement. My depression is up and down with my medication.

SSRIs can affect you very negatively and make you worse than ever
I just switched to Zoloft the other day and I was in such a bad down cycle I felt out of body
like I was someone else in this body and I didn't belong

Antidepressants aren't a silverbullet :<

Indeed...my online friends are just as important as my irl ones...especially since I moved away and knew some of them in person.
Though...having strangers tell me my life is worth living is really off-putting. You don't know anything about me...it might work for others but it's...just like a nice sentiment that doesn't come from a really sincere place.

In this case, suicide isn't worth it.

Figure out some shit you want to experience in life and go find a new appreciation for it, because suicide just isn't worth it.
