I once knew a girl with the last name Blood. Best last name ever, especially if her claim to be directly descended from some Welsh leader of a plot to steal the crown jewels of England, who had a last name along those lines, is at all accurate.
I'm almost directly descended from Robert Burns, but the surname died out in my bit of the line a few generations ago. I consider myself lucky to have avoided it, keeping in mind that I once almost got kicked out of college due to false charges of arson.

I used to be a telemarketer, and I would keep a collection of funny names that I had to call. Here are some just last names (some first are in parenthesis if needed):
Dickler
Dong (Hyung Dong)
Schlitz

(Harry) Dick
But the one I most felt sorry for was a guy with the unfortunate last name of Dover, with the unfortunate first name of Ben because (in his own words) his parents were super cruel. What was worse was that his brother was on his policy, and his name was Stan Dover. If their names hadn't been on my screen, I would have thought he was lying, but they were.
Had to take a break after that call because I couldn't stop laughing.

At work we have a customer called Mr Mingay. It has to be the most unappealing surname I've ever heard and I'd heard a lot. It just sounds horrible anytime you say. Both parts do not make the other sound any better.
Also the best one I've ever heard is De'ath.
I want to marry a man with that surname so that I can be Leanne De'ath.
