I agree this is horrible, I was a fairly large fan of his and to see him go like this :/ It's been a bad couple of weeks on newgrounds death wise, the world just got a little less humorous.

Edd and Randy in the same month... I feel so awful. The world of animation has lost some amazing and talented creators.
Goodbye Edd. Thanks for all the flash and comics you made. Wherever you are now, I'm sure it'll be a funnier and better place.

Oh no! He was posting about his cancer battle before he died. Sometimes, it seemed as if he was already better, and some days he was so bad we did hear from him for days. He won't have to worry about anything now. R.I.P., Ed.

It is amazing at how people can be such assholes, however if this happened to someone close to them. I assure you they would never say stuff like "I'm glad that asshole's dead".
Most of them don't realize- Edd Gould had, like us; Thousands of paths to choose from.
He didn't have to make these animations, create series, share laughter and his Ideas with us.
Yet he did, and yet some of these people don't realize how much this will affect not just ourselves.
But Newgrounds as a Community. He did not deserve to be part of the 30% .
I first thought "No way, this has to be some cruel April Fools joke". Like many of you, but after going about the site
and then the Eulogy video, it Dawned that this was no joke. I am not Implementing that I knew Edd personally, but
I could sense how nice of a guy he was- From Animations, to the Replies. I just looked back on the last post on his account for newgrounds. To think, not one word about cancer in it, no hints of depression or anything. I am saddened about this loss, as personally his cartoons have pulled me out of slumps.
Sure it may seem like this post would be summed up as "HEY THIS DOUCHEBAG IS JUST AN ATTENTION WHORE"- But seriously, people who do that are the same as those who disrespect others, and have none for themselves.
Now I do wish this was some cruel April Fools Joke- Rather than the truth, but the truth is here and before us~

I would mourn for him but I'm all cried out from when I first discovered his death last night.
Shame. Edd's "Zombeh Nation" was one of the first Newgrounds vids i watched. When i first saw it years ago it amazed me how well it looked, and how entertaining it was. I used to watch and re-watch it when i was feeling "out of it". Heck, Edd was one of the many inspiring artists (a title i believe he's earned) that inspired me.... Never did do anything though... Real shame that he's gone though....
RIP Edd, died too young.
Edd was like family to me. He's going to really be missed.

I loved Edd's stuff so much. I don't even know what to say.
I've said it before, and I'll say it again. Rest in peace Edd, you will not be forgotten.

It's just not fair ya know, when death comes into your life out of nowhere and just hits you by the wayside. I feel for his family and friends, I've lost a loved one too and it sucks...it seriously does. It shouldn't ever happen but it does and its the worse possible thing that could ever happen to anybody.
"It's easier to dismiss everyone elses opinions and replace them as your own, but in doing so you only end up replacing everything you trust with lies."
Three deaths in such a short period of time...it is, indeed, very tragic - and it makes us all aware of our own mortality. We all grieve now at the loss of three young artists, who in their brief life on this rock we call home made it a more bearable place with their humor and talent. My heart goes out to their families and friends, for they have lost a brother, or an uncle, or a son - it's just not right for a parent to bury their children.
They all served as inspiration to us while they lived, and now, the best way we can show our appreciation to them is to continue on with that inspiration. All of us who have been "thinking about" a flash or doing something creative - now it's time to sit down and do it already. And when you do finish it, no matter what is, as long as it's your own honest work that isn't spam for the sake of spam, dedicate it to Edd, Randy and Lucas. Let their light live on in our work and our dreams.
Let's not die with them..let's live for them!
Rest in peace, gentlemen. You will be missed very much by a lot of people for a long time.

I was upset when I heard of Randy's passing and even more upset at this news. I wish everyone would live well and take care of one another. This is truly one of the saddest moments in Newgrounds history.
We'll all miss you very much, Randy and Edd.
Sad to hear this news :( Edd really was talented. Hell of a body of work he made in such a short amount of time.

I actually luckily got the chance to talk to Edd once at a NG London meet last summer while in the back garden of the main karaoke pub NG tried to go to every year (sorry I don't remember the name of it, although those who know of the meets will know what I'm on about). Speaking to him, he was incredibly humble, casually reserved and down to earth, to the point that I had no idea who he was before he told me. I was actually surprised when I told him who I was on the forums that he had heard my name somewhere. He was definitely a great animator and it's a shame for him to pass on.
This too will pass.

Edd will be missed and never forgotten. He was one great creator. I saw creator because he brought his characters to us. Shared his ideas with us. I wish his family the best. We all know he is in a better place now. I take my hat of in respect of him.
