This issue is about more than 'a footballer dying'. Gary Speed was one of the most well-respected and loved professionals in the game because of his humility and passion for the game. He achieved an awful lot as a player and was making great strides as a manager. He had money, a beautiful wife, 2 fantastic sons and still couldn't combat the loneliness of depression. No-one knew how dark his demons were in 42 years, until today when the found him hanged.

Depression is the most dangerous killer of our time.

I don't think telling us that he has money and a beautiful wife will make us have more sympathy for him, there are other people who die much worse deaths who work for food and drink all their lives with no support and go unnoticed. At least he had a good life :/
