Was that what all the commotion was about yesternight? I was in my bed trying to sleep when all of the sudden I heard my brother scream like there was a murder going on and I could tell he was talking about a sports game because that's what he was watching the last time I was there. I didn't even know he was a fan of baseball, it was more basketball. Of course, he's just a bigger sports fan than me in general.
pretty sure we're looking at Game 7.
Haha, excellent way to jinx them bro!

I hope game seven is half as good at this game was with another Card win.
Same here, that way I can come up with a thread in response to this. This is why I don't like premature celebration, I mean look at what it did to the 1985 Cardinals and the 1986 Red Sox.

Let's just say if your country's two titles behind a Canadian team, that's not good.

Wow whoever made this topic looks like a tool now.
Don't they still have a 7th game to play?

Nah; just cocky. Lance Berkman was doing what he does best. Knocking the ball out of the park. Along with Freese's epic home run. I thought Game 6 was one of the best games I have witnessed in my life.
Not looking good for the Rangers being down 6-2 in the bottom of the seventh.

Unless Texas can score 5 runs in the next couple of innings, the Cardinals will have their 11th World Series title. The very same Cardinals team that was for all intents and purposes were dead in the water 2 months ago, is now just several outs away from winning it all, which actually isn't the first time they have done this before. If I remember correctly, the '64 Cardinals were down 8 and a half games in the regular season to the Phillies, and then came back to win the NL pennant and the World Series as well that year.
Just stop worrying, and love the bomb.
The Rangers wish their closer is half a pitch Mo is.
Otherwise the series would have been over last night. Come to think of it, as of now Feliz isn't even on Wetteland's level (despite his heart attack and life shortening inducing outings).

in other news: the team that spent the most money collecting the best players beat another team in a rousing game of sports ball. this is good news in my opinion because i prefer the team that won over the won that lost because those losers do not have my hometown in their team name. more @ 11

Nice try.

Well thanks to this thread, not only did the Rangers lose Game 6, they alost lost the World Series.
Wow, this is the jinx of the year. Good job.
I don't even know what to say, but man, what a misleading title.
It's never over until the fat lady sings.

I'm sorry, I don't understand the reference.
To quote Yogi Berra, "The game's isn't over until it's over." and this thread is the best example of it. Finally, a team that I'm rooting for didn't collapse even when backing into the wildcard with the Braves help.
Too bad this is the last we'll see of Pujols in a Cards uniform.

Here's a thread in response to this.
Sucks to be Rangers fans.

Nah, Dallas fans are use to it. They have the Cowboys and Tony Romo after all.

I still think the Mavs fall into the choking category, too. One NBA championship doesn't erase what happened in 2007 with the golden state warriors, not to mention 2006 and the loss to the Heat, and every other year where Dirk couldn't get the deal done and was a Euro softie. But yeah, this choke by the Rangers is pretty much colossal. To be 1 pitch away from winning it all...twice...and then to lose it all. Dallas sports are mediocrity personified for the most part; only one step above Houston.
Nice way of putting your face in someone's ass while celebrating

This thread made me lol.
Honestly though, it was a good series to watch.
