How often do you hear foreign languages where you live? If so, what kind of foreign languages and which one of them do you like hearing the most, because of its pleasantness?
I live in California so of course I hear a lot of Spanish in my city and my school. I actually woke up to construction workers outside shouting in Spanish. Of course I'll hear Chinese being spoken by my mom and grandparents though, but I'll hear Vietnamese, Mandarin, Cantonese, and the Filipino language occasionally, not too often. I've also heard an African dialect being spoke by a few people here, as there's a sizable Eritrean/Ethiopian population in my city. When I'm down in San Francisco I hear mostly Cantonese, Mandarin, Spanish, and Japanese. The other day I was at a restaurant in San Mateo (in proximity to San Francisco International Airport) and there was a Japanese guy there who kept saying "kawaii" which means cute in Japanese.
I hear European languages on rare occasions, but usually only when I'm in a place with many tourists, which my city lacks. But I've heard languages like German or French I guess, which is pleasant to hear.
