Have you listened to his music? It's very good.
Skrillex is just catchy (which is why he's popular, not that he's on Mau5trap). He's honestly not even close to being the best in genres he produces for and personally I find it kind of sad that his name is the first people think of when they hear dubstep or electro house.

Skril got popular for his marketing scheem and very clear bass drops hits and understanding of how to get bass to the people... he sighned on with a good agent who books him constantly and he is working overtime all the time... he can pump out a half decent remix in a few minuets...
he's studied and still fresh... he unfortunatly will be replaced soon by a younger version of him self
