how many levels did sonic 4 have?

Sonic 4 is the sonic 1 remake with modern graphics. I played the demo and noticed that it left out features that made sonic 3 so great, such as checkpoint bonus stages, giant rings scattered throughout the level to enter a bonus stage to get chaos emeralds, the option to play as tails or knuckles and water/fire/electric sheild. I may have heard that it only had 4 main levels as opposed to the 14 main levels found in sonic 3 & knuckles game.

Yea but its still disapointing to get the game in small segments. I would rather have waited till the time they finished the last episode and get it as one game then this episode thing.

sonic 4 isn't sonic 4. It's sonic 1.2

Isn't that a good thing, though? You've been harping for Sega to take Sonic back to the "good ol' days", and how much gooder can it get than the first game?

so... how many levels are actually in sonic 4 episode 1? My biggest problem with sonic 4 is that it lacked features that made me obsessed with sonic 3 & knuckles.
