Award Ceremony was great. Awesomely fun animations by Mindchamber. I wanna see Tom get Pbot-sauce sprayed all over his face again tho - work that into the 5th Annual Tank Awards.

The word "Flash" has essentially been removed, so games and movies have the potential to include more than just content made with Flash. For example, if an artist uses After Effects or ToonBoom to complete their animation, they will ultimately be able to submit it as video instead of cramming it into an SWF. This will be an invite-only feature and will happen post-launch. We won't be using it for video blogs and cute cat videos and it should feel pretty seamless when it happens.OH

Sounds interesting. I don't know about the "Portal" removal and the awards being split though. Sounds a bit blurry and like less exposure, but we can only judge when it's out I guess.

So how about adding an iphone/droid compatible subsection in the portal for those non-flash content? iPhone/iPod/iPad supports quicktime embedded videos.

God, I'm old. Now that I remember I even lived on another house back then. I remember all the hype about it and Tom delaying it and the April Fool's etc... time flies u.u

I love the idea of separate movies/games awards, it's kind of necesary.

Also the video-format thing opens a whole lot of possibilities.

My only doubt is, the portal will change? Or why will there be a "classic portal"? I know it can't be the "flash portal" anymore because of the format, but why not just keep it as the "portal"?

Also, voting on art and audio should add to your experience points as well. Just saying...
