What's your favourite VG soundtrack? Mine would have to be the PS2 classic Canis Canem Edit/Bully, as all of the songs are original, and they fit with the levels in the game perfectly.

Battlezone. surprisingly, the one for the N64. The computer Redbook sucks. It seriously does. The chiptune music for the N64 was well composed, and the Arcade mode music was fucking awesome.

I especially love its opening theme. The best part of the soundtrack comes in the Tekken-style fight against Liquid. Too bad I cannot skip straight to that part. Of course, besides MSG4, I love VTM's soundtrack.
I love the soundtrack for LoZ: OoT so much that I bought it years ago. Then again, I also bought the Final Fantasy 7 OST. I also love the music from the Mother series... Huh, Silent Hill series too... Shit I can't decide.
noitu love had some good tracks, megaman 3 had a beasty intro theme, but marvel vs. capcom 3 had some great tracks. Take your pick. Also Scott Pilgrim vs. the world the game

One of my favorite games, Xenogears, also has one of my favorite soundtracks. I also enjoy the Final Fantasy and Silent Hill soundtracks.
It's always the retro/older games. Think about it: newer games Soundtracks are not as memorable.

I don't really know if this counts, but years ago, Nintendo gave out a CD of SSB Brawl's music done by a Japanese orchestra. I literally listened to that CD non-stop until some rat bastard stole it out of my truck. If you guys haven't heard it, I'd highly suggest scouring Youtube and finding a couple of tracks.
Personally I like Earthbound's soundtrack for SNES. It has a lot of variety and giygas's song in the final fight was just amazing.

I would without a doubt say the Metal Gear Solid 4 Soundtrack.
There are pieces in there from all the other Metal Gear games.
And the MGS soundtrack is simply legendary.
