Hey Osuka, What program is the model in and can we have the 3d model to test the maps so we can make sure it comes out right?

Only the main texture, not too much people knows how to use those kind of maps. But the winners can use later bump map for the 3d Short movie :)

3D Files (Megaupload)
3D Files (Rapidshare)
Awesome! I have no experience in 3D modeling and i will try this, but maybe you could put the files in NG Dump too? I don't have Rapidshare/Megaupload accounts so I get sub-par download speeds or whatever.

I cant upload those files on NG dump :(
but in rapidshare you can download without using a account, just wait like 45seconds and the SLOW download will be avaible. is just like 500kb ;)

hahaha I dont know, but I hope that you can participate :D
Now, I don't like to be a complete n00b, but this situation calls for it.
I saw your template-thing, and for the most part, I get it.
The part that confuses me is in the bottom-left. The "front" and "back" thing, with the two ovals.
What are they/where do they show on the figure?
Thanks ahead of time :P

hahah dont worry, this topic was created to make questions
Those 2 oval are the below part of the foot, you the "front" will be like the toes
I'm drawing a blank on what/who to make. "Green-Dawg" was a test of the UV mapping (which required some stretching in places) Not certain if I should finish this. Is this character so far at all appealing? Am I doing this right? =P
I'll probably toon-ify myself tomorrow anyway..

Don't you know I don't read?!
Lol thanks btw :3
ooooh! fun!
So...we can only do a diffuse map?
yeah, only the diffuse map :)
for the 3d im using 3d max, but to make the texture you can use any software like photoshop painter and more :)
Feels bland.. just look at that emptiness on the back of the head! This was a test of the UV map, but is it submittable quality? suggestions? =)
>.> can't see the under hand to properly texture, btw
I'll have a go tonight, although my 3DSMax trial has ran out.
I might have a go at this. I mean I am studying 3d for the next 3 years, I'd be ashamed not to enter :D
Is this going to be just a diffuse map, or can we submit normal- and specularmaps and such aswell?

In my Tom model you cant see the hand because is hidden, that why im not evualating that part
I couldn't render the picture for some odd reason onto the 3D object figure, but the map is up anyway.
