How good is your computer?

Well, how well does it work? List the good things and the bad things, talk about it's browsing behavior and it's ability for gaming etc.

Okay mine, takes forever to start up, but oddly enough, it's really fast...Newgrounds-wise, lots of people complain about loading time, but i mean C'mon, Punk-O matic loaded within 1-2 minutes.

Superior in Flash, as for gaming, i cannot play anything with graphics better than Counterstrike Source,Lags too much.
But i can play 2-D games normally.

The only problem I have with my PC, is with my Monitor. Once I turn on my computer, the screen will lock down and The Sound will turn to shit, but when I manually restart it'll run fine.
I don't understand it, but I'm returning this Monitor to see if I can get a new one.

It runs some games good, but things like Oblivion and Mercenaries 2 are uber laggy. Luckily I play older games for the most part like AoE and Rollercoaster Tycoon etc. Flash and Photoshop work fine. So it works for me.

Mine has like, 3gb of ram, but it sucks. It starts up pretty slow, and the internet almost never works, but oddly enough flash works fine on it, though it can get pretty laggy sometimes.

I am on a better computer right now (not mine). It doesn't have a lot of ram but it's fast as hell and if I had flash on here and enough room for a tablet I would use this computer.

my computer is getting old now, it used to have a lot of memory but with all the crap my mom downloads it gets pretty slow every once in a while...

Crappy. It has 256MB of RAM and like 34GB of CPU space. It's from 2004 so it was probably a decent one back then but now it's very slow one. I can load flash games at a decent rate and youtube videos aren't all that bad depending on the day but the only PC games that work are from 2000 (NBA live 2000, RCT).

With my current 11 inch laptop, pretty much the only things I can do with it is word processing and simple browsing. There isn't much you can do with a single core of 700 mhz. This computer makes up 1/3 of my needs, mobile computing.

The new rig I'm ordering parts for should be able to swallow my laptop whole with six cores of 3.2 ghz. This rig will make up 2/3s of my needs, performance. At least, I hope I have the money soon.

Until then, no Flash, no YouTube, no Fruity Loops, no multitasking with 384MB of RAM, no anything! I mean it takes almost 30 seconds to load up WMP, and another 5 seconds to start a song, and I barely have anything on the 30GB hard drive!

I got a new laptop last week, it's actually pretty damn good. It's specs aren't the greatest, and it's not the greatest laptop, I only paid around 500 for it so my gaming will be limited. Though it browses great, runs all programs great, plus I fucking love windows 7 so far.

My sweet computer is an HP Pavilion with Windows Vista, and it's okay... for the most part.

It can load games in less than 10 seconds (average), and that's because I take good care of it. It can handle several high-graphic games and can handle high quality settings.

The only problems is that it can't handle Shockwave (Odd... before it could) and crashes often.

i always thought gaming computers make good computers in general don't they? i mean, gaming-wise they are already better than normal ones, and all that RAM and Memory space is good too, plus they need to be built with good processors, that means they are good at internet browsing too right?

Anyone verify this little theory i have?

It's awesome, and just a couple of months old.
AMD quad core processor, 3.4ghz, 4 gigs of 1,3 ghz ram, HD5700 videocard and an Asus m4a785td-v evo mobo. 700W power supply, awesome case with a window, 20cm fan with blue leds on top and a 12 cm fan with lights on the back.
Newest game I have on it is Battlefield Bad Company 2, and it runs great on the highest settings.
Custom built.
Only thing I don't like is how the power supply heats up my room, but I have a table fan for that.

Mine works pretty well. I'm in love with it, it's a computer my friend at the time, him and my boyfriend built it for me. Asus motherboard is pimp pimp. It's fast and great for gaming.

The only thing that bothers me doesn't have to deal with my computer per say but more with Windows 7. I can't play any of my old games because I can't figure out how to set it up to where they can run properly.
