Hey guys, got a little problem.
Well, we all know how good W7 is with backwards compatibility (Or when I'm talking about W7 I call it erratibility), and I've uncovered another little bump: Knights of the Old Republic 2.
I how the game floating around on my external harddrive, with the play disk image, so I thought "Why not! Haven't played this since I "up"graded."
Mounted the image, hit "play". Took my time to build a good character (the saves didn't survive the transfer), and began the game. Watched the crawl, waited for the half dead Ebon Hawk to appear and... KOTOR 2 has crashed...
Reboot and try again... crash.
Third time lucky? Same.
Cut a long story short, surfed around a little, tried a few patches and fixes, and I got nothing. So far there are two possible sources of my problem, and I was wondering if anyone here can help me figure out which one is my problem, and how to fix it (if I can):
Either I need that XP mode from Windows 7 to run it, or something to that effect.
OR
My graphics card is incompatible. Currently using: RDPDD Chained DD 2048 (report from inbuilt hardware scan), which the scan says is compatible, but not on their recommended list.
So, any help? Thanks guys!
And thus defy, the tyrannous stars...
