Well inFamous was pretty much opposite for me... It started out kind of lame, but as I progressed, I was gaining new powers that just got better and better. My second playthrough sucked at first because I wanted my static trusters. :(

It's also fairly new, so not many of us have gotten a chance to play it.
3D dot game heroes, LittleBigPlanet, Unncharted 2 (and 1 if you have money), and there are a few titles that have PS3 exclusive content like Batman Arkham Asylum (highly recommended), and Red Dead Redemption.
