Level 25. I managed to kill Antoine with shotguns from the Palisades mall.

I did it finally, but I used boxing glove - bowie knife combo and slashed at him while he was eating the food. Worked surprisingly well.

Only boss I'm having a problem with is the snipers near the Silver Strip, there guns just knock blocks of health from you.

I killed one of them (was a pain) and I only found one other which I assume I have to climb a ladder to get to the roof of the building he's on. Still haven't seen any others but that's because I had about 5 other things to do like go give some guy in the safehouse some Zombrex. And then after that go back out and find a clothing store where I could change to a pair of underwear so that one stupid girl near the elevators in the hotel would come with me. C'mon Chuck, you can't just take off your clothes right there? The guy must not be wearing any underwear.

That combo is too slow for my tastes, I'd prefer the Knife-broom combo to make a spear. Same results, faster swings.

Anybody want to play co-op on PC? (GFWL/Gamertag: Zippomatt) I've actually got a couple friends with the game but they're more into freeroaming and fucking around and although that's all well and good I still need to do all of the case files in co-op eventually. I'm sure if/when I pick this game up on my 360 finding a co-op partner won't be an issue but I've got slim pickings on the PC version.

I've already finished the entire game once so now I'm just sort of cleaning up as best I can and getting the hardest achievements out of the way, etc. Still having a blast and discovering new shit every time I play some more.

There's a shop at the other end of that section of the mall with an underwear display. If you talk to her about it some more you even get a arrow guiding you to the stand. I managed to pick her up and accidentally kill a psychopath (which also netted me another survivor) along the way to change clothes. It's actually a very easy survivor to deal with, now Dean on the other hand...fuck Dean.

If you get the Leadership magazine from the bingo hall on the Silver Strip it will make some of the crippled survivors move faster.

This game is tough. I just fought my first legitamite psychopath, and he kicked my ass. It was the CURE activist, and my attacks weren't even making him flinch. Not even a point blank shotgun blast stopped his attack. And each hit takes 2 squares of health? I know that I'm only level 8, but that's really lame. Primarily because this game has no continue option except for loading the last save.

Say guys, do you know what I could combine a shotgun with? Just curious. :P

Yeah, the psychopaths only give you one, two free hits tops before you need to wait for another opening (or bring a crapton of OJ).

The shotgun can be combined with a pitchfork, though the resulting Boomstick is worse than the base materials you craft it with (no ranged attack, save for tossing the thing, but its primary fire is an instant kill to zombies).

i nver got to play the first DR but the upsides are the weapon making and lots more zombie killen

I just beat overtime mode.

The game was fucking amazing, and the ending leaves you with a huge adrenaline rush that won't go away for about an hour.

I have to say, not giving Katey her zombrex is quite a dissapointing cutscene...

I thought it would be something more....epic.

Dead Rising 1 was OK. The problems:
1. Who wants to be timed???
2. WAY too difficult
3. Extremely Repetitive
4. No sandboxing???
These problems are still in the second game.
I downloaded the Dead Rising: Case Zero and that was just as frustrating.

I know man, I know. I was almost on the verge of killing him because I had other missions, but I held out.

I also got the achievement where you rescue 50 survivors. I got it in Dead Rising 1 also, but that was a lot harder because of the AI. It was weird though because I didn't get that achievement until I got "62" safe.

Nope there is a Ending S just make sure Katey has her doses and you do all the cases and for the love of god make sure you have a extra one for TK otherwise you wont get to Overtime mode

Have a broadsword or two in your inventory, plus an LMG, and plenty of OJ. Simply fire your gun and strafe left to right when he's throwing stuff at you and backwards when he is charging at you. If you run out of ammo, strike him once or twice with your sword, follow him when he runs to the food, then strike him twice. Rinse, repeat, and victory.

incindently, this method works for most psycopaths.

Just got the game.. Been playing it mostly all day.. and i have to say... it's hard. Really hard and would it kill them to put in a autosave? I fucking hate the toilets save.. I looked everywhere for one once and found a fucking psychopath in their.

If you have online try getting into Co-op room so that if you do get killed the other player can revive you

Also try making the Nails+Propane weapon and take it to a really big group of zombies try and throw it into the middle of the group and if you have a gun shoot it and then you should get a big amount of PP also get a LMG (Light Machine Gun i think its called) and a robotic bear and make the freedom bear find a big group of zombies and lay it down away from the zombies but still in its firing range (it gets knocked over easily)

These 2 combo's will help alot in the early levels

It was kind of annoying how the game ends when you skip the story and everything. You get no warning, screen goes black, and you are suddenly in a vehicle captured by the military. I was just beginning to explore the final part of the map i haven't been in :(

The key to leveling up is survivors. They give you far more PP than killing zombies.

As for inventory, a broadsword, or any long bladed weapon is a must.

The only firearms worth their weight are the LMG and assault rifles, don't hold on to handgun if you can trade it for health or a sword, the shotgun is only slightly more effective than the handgun.

That said, the LMG is probably THE best (overall) weapon in the game, simply strafe when firing and you will bring any psycopath to near death. It can easily be found on top of a nest looking spot in the middle of the Yucatan Casino (along with a free case of Zombrex).

Above all else, keep at least one OJ in your inventory, and learn where you can find them. Once you have plenty of inventory space and your health has increased, it might be a good idea to hold on to a health magazine.

When escorting, don't kill everything you see. Just run. The survivors will catch up, especially if you gave them a weapon (leave the best ones for you though). On a side note, survivor weapons never break or run out of ammo, so if one of your weapons is about to break give it to a survivor.

I honestly found him to be REALLLLY easy if you have any sort of gun with you (I had a Merc Assault Rifle) and a nailbat.

Every time he tries to eat something, just pop him with a couple of shots to stop him. Then he chases after you. Get close enough for him to swing the pan, but stay far enough to where he misses, get in a few swings, hide behind a wall when he throws stuff, rinse, repeat.

I'd say the two bosses I had the most trouble with were Slappy (who wasn't too bad once I found the candy store ^_^) and the last boss (not in Overtime, just in the last 72 hours. Don't want to give anything away), who wasn't so bad once I died 10 times and devised a plan.

Words can't describe how annoying he is without the leadership mag. The solution is that you need to get a wheelchair and use that to take him to the safehouse. Even that's hard enough to do because the wheelchair breaks if you run into too many zombies with it and there's always a huge crowd of them at the doorways.

Anyways, beat the game/Overtime mode and only got 46 survivors. I could do Co-op on 360 if anyone's interested. PM me if you want to do that.

Ah, he annoyed me as well. Even though I would get him a wheel chair one of the other survivors I was escorting at the time would get on. Wasted a lot of health just to get him in the thing.
