Nostalgia critic is good, but AVGN does a lot of miscellaneous reviews and subseries, too.

I don't watch this guys videos all that often, but I do find them quite amusing. I just watched his review of Little Red Hood, a game that I've never heard of before and it was pretty funny.
I wish I had his game collection though. It looks huge.

Nostalgia critic is good except for the fact that he has to make some shitty gimmicky joke in every episode, and have those douchebags who post videos on his website do cameos.

I like the humor in his reviews, but he just sucks at games, that's why they seem hard. I loved and destroyed many of the games (when I was a child) he says are near impossible. He's kinda funny, but mostly a chump. Hahahaha!!

Yeah he's hilarious. I also love his additional works such as his annual "Monster Madness" around Halloween, his Board James series, the "You Know What's Bullshit" series, and he has a few movies that I've seen that are really good. Overall, I think he's pretty cool and funny, and I check his site daily for new videos and updates.

Yeah, the AVGN (aka James Rolfe) reviews films, without the satire included with his AVGN reviews. He's very articulate with films, which is what he's more interested in (even made quite a few of his own)--it's just that the AVGN was well-received in the beginning, so he stuck with making it a series. Personally, I think his film reviews are more entertaining.

Yeah, the Mr. Bucket episode was legitimately terrifying, but that one Dungeons and Dragons type boardgame he reviewed is my favorite.
And fuck yes, that was the worst cliffhanger in web video history. And not in a good way, either.

Exactly. but you can't really know what he means until you actually play the games he reviews. like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles for the NES. Aside from being one of his funniest reviews ever, it's also the most true. It's hard to jump, you can't get to the top of any ladders unless you use Donatello because all the enemies are blocking it, and the underwater level is worlds most cheating level ever.

Not really. He actually reviewed a fair amount of good games like Castlevania, Battletoads, Ninja Gaiden etc.

He's probably intentionally bad at games, mostly to really bring out game design flaws. Exaggeration as a humoristic device, works really well, but also as a communications tool to convey a lasting impression.

He's not bad at games at all.. He got to the last boss in Ninja gaiden, and beat games such as the Wizard of Oz and Bart vs the world and all kinds of other shittily programmed frustrating games that most people would not be able to finish.

Well, I can agree with him that Castlevania II: Simon's Quest was a really shitty game. I bought it on the virtual console before even seeing the video. Damn I wish i saw the video first and saved the $5. He didn't say BattleToads was a bad game, he just said it was hard as fuck, same with Ninja Gaiden.
