Select an user with over 10k posts, and then look at his posts. The amount of posts found is the same as his post count you can see on the forums and user page. That means that he posted on forums that we all can see.
Now take a mod, for example. Do the same thing. He won't have the same amount of posts, because he posted on the mod forums, that actually exists, and we can't see the posts from this forum.

No. You look at the number of posts. Like mine right now is 5600 something. If you clicked on view all my posts and it opened up and said showing all 5200 posts, then there's 400 posts I made that you aren't allowed to see. If it shows all my 5600 posts, then A, posting in a secret forum doesn't add to your post count, or B, it don't exist. Of course, I'm not above 10k (having a life ftw!), but it's the same formula.
