I think your pen art is amazing, I love all the value in shading and the originality in some. I think you should maybe get a good art board for pen and make a huge piece with color and a background and stuff. How bad does the in bleed into the paper because I just got a starter pen and it only came with calligraphy ink and I was considering getting some that wold be good for drawing like india ink. Is there a good one for beginners?

I think your art is great, your use of cross-hatching s superb. Your proportions are pretty good, there are no noticeable errors. I'd like to see some colour, I myself find that I do not use much if any in my drawing, but I think it can really help a drawing. I think you should do some life drawing, that helps you improve and it makes you see more details than you usually would, so when you go to draw from imagination you'll remember them.

Anyway, hope that helped. Also your artwork is good just keep on improving.

That's actually not too bad. Doesn't quite compare to your pen work (hella-detailed, by the way, really works with the cross-hatching shading and all). Very simplistic, vector-ish look, and it works out. Nice work with it, man.

Careful how hard you press down on the paper with the pen, because it can cause some unwanted creasing in the paper.

Don't bother commenting on my Art Portal stuff, I don't use the AP, and it's all old stuff. Only my thread is used for art stuff.

it's a bit too confused, maybe the shades are too heavy. in general i prefere straight parallel lines for shading instead of crossed ones. also the eyes have something strange, making him seem a little dull, i don't know. anyway you got some good pieces, keep it up.

xty3x I cant agree with you more about the confusion. I was doing this with just pen and no pencil. so when I make a mistake they just compound on eachother, so halfway through the piece im still trying to cover up a mistake I made in the beginning.
