Got some gamerscore from the new Origins zombies map for turning on all generators and going around the map in a tank once. I want to love the map, but the mud and Robo-zombies are seriously ruining the fun. You can't really camp as a team because there's no decent spots to hold out, and it's too cramped with way too many zombie spawn areas to get a decent train going.

Well, you could try and train the zombies in the tank path, but the mud will slow you down a lot and get you killed quickly, and Stamin-Up doesn't help one bit. Robo-Zombies take way too bullets to kill and can down you instantly even with juggernog. I'd be fine if they were separate wave mini-bosses like the dogs, monkeys and jumping jacks in previous maps, but mixing them with regular zombies is a stupid idea.

Don't get me wrong, I love a challenge, but these are piss poor ways to add difficulty. On the positive side of things, I'm glad the original 4 characters are back, the dynamic weather effects are cool, I'm loving the sheer amount of guns they've added to the mystery box, the new Pack-a-Punch camo is sexy, and the new wonder-weapon staffs are devastating. I'm hoping the easter egg can be done solo or in 2 players, we'll have to wait and see about that.

Treyarch's support for this game has been abysmal in all honesty, but I would appreciate it if they could at least tweak the movement speed in the mud on this map.

Map packs on the UK marketplace are weird. 800 MSP map packs are priced between £7.99 and £8.99. 1200 MSP map packs are priced between £9 and £11.50, in comparison the 1200 MSP packs are priced at a fixed rate of £11.59 on the PlayStation Network.

90g from Origins for using all ultimate elemental staffs, sharing a weapon with another player, and getting 3 revives and a generator capture under the effects of zombie blood. I'm pretty sure the easter egg can be done with 2 players which is fantastic, it's going to be very difficult though.

So the more I am thinking about it the more I realize getting rid of microsoft points was a bad deal mostly because of bing rewards users.

Before the change 400 microsoft points would cost you 475 bing points if you were a gold member so pretty much 95 points per every dollar and you weren't charged for tax on your purchases because purchasing microsoft points already had tax factored in so it was the same deal with microsoft points from bing. 400 points was 400 points not 410 so you only needed to redeem for 400 points once to get a 400 point game.

Now with real currency bing replaced 400 microsoft points with a $3 gift card worth 360 points or now 120 points per dollar IF you don't factor in tax and that's where the hit is even worse. It's bad enough it isn't consistent with the old $5 reward(400 microsoft points) but if you want $3 worth of games/DLC the $3 gift card won't be enough because now tax is factored into the purchase and not the gift card so you need to redeem 720 bing points to buy $3 worth of games/DLC now because of tax.

So under the old model of microsoft points you needed 1425 points to get $15 worth of microsoft points or 3 separate redemptions
Under the new model you need 1800 points now to get the same $15 and add another 360 onto that because that $15 game will be worth more now thanks to tax. So now you need 2160 points if you want to buy a $15 game instead of 1425 like it was previously.

I'm an active bing rewards user so this change really upsets me now. Sure most people don't use bing rewards so this change to real currency doesn't effect them but it sucks for those of us who do use it.

Finished Deus Ex Human Revolution. God damn this was a fantastic game. I'll play it again to grab the Pacifist/No Alarms/Hard achievements. Probably in two playthroughs if I pussy out on getting all 3 in one go.

But yeah it's a good game I got it for the PS3 a few months ago and really enjoyed it getting several hours worth of gameplay out of it. If it wasn't for the fact that stage 7 was DLC and there being no local co-op I would have gotten this version instead personally.

Beaten SC Blacklist's campaign on Realistic, got 280g. Next up, the co-op missions with a bit of Spies vs Mercs thrown in for good measure.

Bought Hearthfire for Skyrim and got two achievements from it so far. It's not too bad of a DLC, especially for $2.50 since it was on sale. Got me back into playing Skyrim, at least.

Well I've managed to get myself an IT Apprenticeship at a broadband company for the next year, which will then turn into a full time position. So it would appear that I'm finally going to have money again.

Also I don't start until October 1st so that gives me nearly 2 full weeks to enjoy GTA V, things are finally looking up.

Nice one. I'm waiting to hear back from a software development job I applied for through a recruitment agency. The guy thought it'd take them about 7-10 days to reply and it's nearing the end of those 7-10 days now so at this point I'm a little sceptical anything will come of it. Although the guy at the recruitment agency seemed really optimistic about it and seemed to have a few other things lined up that I could apply for too. I just hope I get a job some time soon. Being unemployed is fun for a while, seeing as you can just do whatever you want but it's a little boring to not have a proper schedule. I've not had XBL membership for well over a year now which is kinda strange since it was something I used every day.

I got a voluntary jo in a charity shop at the end of July and I've been really enjoying it, makes me appreciate my free time a lot more, and I get to talk to new people which is really nice.

I wasn't even a part of the first leaderboard but that's such a historical blow for the VG forums. I agree that accounts shouldn't be deleted like that, it's painful to see it all vanish.

I traded in a few games and bought the new Splinter Cell, I've not heard a great deal about it, but it was £27.99 at Blockbuster which is really good and I got it for about half of that. I've always enjoyed the previous ones, never completed Doule Agent, I'd have bought that is this one wasn't so cheap.
