I just spent all day playing Resident Evil 4. This game is so fucking good. I can't wait for the remake just so I can get achievements in it.

Haven't been on Xbox much lately. Bought that Shivering Isles DLC a few days ago since it was on sale. One achievement and 20GS out of it so far.

I'm shitting myself that there's going to be an achievement for beating it on Professional. It was quite easy on RE5 but RE4 is a lot harder and longer.

If you complete it once then the second playthrough shouldn't be hard surely? Just run with a fully up'd striker and TMP and you're laughing surely.

the fully upped tmp could carry like a billion bullets and its final upgrade like doubled its damage or some shit like that, it was a beast. same with the striker and the whole billion bullet things

I've been wanting to play that along with the other DLC for a long time, but it costs a fair bit for everything even this long after release. Considered picking up the edition on Steam that comes with all the official DLC for £20. Spent my money on other things though so I don't think I'll be buying any new games for a while.

I played some more of Crysis 2 today. It's not that bad a game but it's nothing special really. I'm up 95G from it so far. I notice my brother has his copy of Arkham Asylum now too, so I'll maybe give that a shot at some point.

Yeah I believe it's been 2400 MSP forever until this recent sale. No way was I buying DLC for that price. I bought a MSP card only a couple of days before it went on sale so I just bit the bullet and bought it. Still feel 1200 is a bit pricey for it, but I doubt it would get any lower for quite some time.

Oh god I forgot about the Mercenaries mode, that could be a nightmare.
It's going to be an XBLA game so presumably it will be bound to 200G and 12 achievements (although I suppose there could be up to 20) so hopefully there won't be any room for anything too brutal after they've included the obligatory story and random combat/collection achievements. There is the possibility of there being a percentage system and a 100% achievement for doing everything.

I hope there is just an achievement for each boss or something like that. RE5 had achievements for finding every treasure and fully upgrading every single weapon, and they would be an absolute pain in the ass to do in RE4. I hope they change the controls so that you can strafe like in RE5. Having the exact control scheme would be just weird.

The Code Veronica remake should be pretty easy to max out though. There really wasn't much to do in that apart from the main story. Unless you have to get a highscore in battle mode or some shit.

Got some achievements from L.A. Noire. finished the dlc from the traffic cases, getting all 5 achievements from it. Also did 20/40 street crimes and found all the landmarks.

I'm actually looking forward to Code Veronica more than RE4 because I prefer the old style Resi games and CV is the only game in the main story arc that I never played.

I started up Dead Space 2 (thanks to Aci6, trading games is awesome!) and I'm really enjoying it although I strongly feel they should have left Isaac as an unseen and silent protagonist because having him talking (and cursing up a storm like swear words are going out of fashion) makes the experience much less immersive which in turn makes it less tense/scary and also he's quite an annoying douchebag.

It's probably my favourite RE in the old style. The story is miles better than all of the others.
