gfoxclock's over 9.00 total VP as well... I was thinking to myself the other day while depositing exp that the VP list surely can't be very far off, if only I could get more blams with gfoxclock... and of course eventually some saves, too.... again. But with my 36k saves quest for gfoxcook, it's hard.

But as for your situation... why do you say it's a good thing you have a reasonable amount of b/p? The less b/p you have, the better, in a way. The lower you are, the more rankups you could hit quickly, and the more bonus 2%s you can add to your baseVP and make a nice big total VP out of...

The only thing you've GOT to have more of is teh exps. b/p's easy and cheap and there's no rush. Exp... every missed deposit is a dagger in your VP heart. I actually mind missing exp deposits way more for teh VP than for the exprank, though both are hard to take when an accidental miss happens.

You could always save with gfoxcook and blam with gfoxclock, although that would be highly arduous and irritating to switch back and forth between accounts whilst roaming the flash portal.

Ah yes, but I was simply referring to the combination of the two VP-increasing stats putting me nearer to the list. If, for example, I had no B/P, I'd only have a 6.63 VP, which would put me completely out of sight of teh VP list. The fact that I have my 40% bonus puts me within sight of the list, and also boosts the old morale, which is nice. That's all I really meant by that.

Still, glad to see that 12 out of 15 in the top 15.... are moving strongly upwards. I have to wonder if ol' nimmer (iWalker) is missing deposits, though, with that +0.01... the way VP rounding works sometimes, that could basically be 0.02.... but who knows.

Either way, still kicking ass and taking names. Which means slow progress moving up, but a strong united top VP list. I want to see, some day, the top 5 of this list being 14-15 VP.... the top 10 being all 14+, and the top 20 being all 13-14. It will be sweet.

Niiiice... Myst at Commander, Rage at Commander, and PMKD at General are the closest non-EGSCs to the top 25 or so.... and thus to myself and those around me. WE ARE SO SET.

I seriously would never have believed, had you told me when I retired from b/ping and became much more inactive.... well, I don't like the way that sounds.... "much less active," let's just say... on NG....... that come TWO AND A HALF YEARS LATER.... not only would I still be in the top 20 of VP.... but I'd still be in the top 15...

And hell, thanks to alex's lack of depositing, he's given me the gift of a "one free pass" card where the next low-b/p high-exp person who finally decides to hit a few rankups and get their VP super-high.... still won't knock me out of the top 15, which I really really would like to stay in...

Dude, I DO save with gfoxcook and blam with gfoxclock. That's what I've been doing since last June of 2007, or whenever it was exactly that I started getting saves from 24,000... may have been late May.

Either way.... it's not that hard. I have gfoxcook logged in on Opera 24/7. I switch between gfoxclock and gfox logged in on Firefox for depositing purposes, but leave gfoxclock logged in 99% of the time, for both picking up blams I don't want to vote 2 on with gfoxcook.... and for alt posting, not that I do that much anymore, in my quest for teh 10k posts and all. #;-}>

What I was saying is that in trying to get blams on my alt on the UJ flash that I won't try to save with my main account... I miss out on 66% of them due to being too slow, basically. So I wish I could get MORE blams for him, since I'm hoarding all the saves for gfoxcook... but it's tough.

But as for your situation... why do you say it's a good thing you have a reasonable amount of b/p? The less b/p you have, the better, in a way. The lower you are, the more rankups you could hit quickly, and the more bonus 2%s you can add to your baseVP and make a nice big total VP out of...

Ah yes, but I was simply referring to the combination of the two VP-increasing stats putting me nearer to the list. If, for example, I had no B/P, I'd only have a 6.63 VP, which would put me completely out of sight of teh VP list. The fact that I have my 40% bonus puts me within sight of the list, and also boosts the old morale, which is nice. That's all I really meant by that.

Because it would mean you could b/p less... and yet rankup... MORE... and gain VP faster from the b/p bonus.

And without the scaling effect to push their VPs down each week.... it's going to take a looooooooooooooong time for my nearly-8.38 base VP to get over 8.64 or 8.69 base VP. A long time.

Wylo, OTOH, can pass them relatively soon provided they don't resume depositing every single day anytime soon. So I'm happy more for Wylo right now than myself, though it always saddens me to see the old greats fall, whether I know them from the BBS personally as with those two.... or just by reputation/from their profiles, as in the case of some of the oldies I gotta pass to get into the top 50. #;-}>

Well, what I meant was that being 10 exp ahead of someone is surely more valuable than getting to be #555. I'm a big fan of hitting nifty rankings, but if I had to skip from #556 to #554, and therefore miss out on #555... to retain a stat advantage? I sure would.

I would deffinatly prefer a higher rank as well. To be honest, I don´t really give a shit about rank-achievements like #555, #444, #1,337 etc. They´re nice, but not really worth aiming for.

All the actual VP numbers appear correct, but he didn't sort the rankings properly. That's your answer as to why you didn't get placed in the right spot. Look at the people around you, including that 11.73 guy, and figure out your ranking and then post what you should have been listed as in here rather than just complaining about it, like Coop did.
