Are you kidding me? If you look at the hardware specs of any Mac the specs are absolutely terrible for the price. The only thing they have going for them is the OS which, as rig said, is easily emulated on a PC.

Unfortunately, I checked the system specs of a modern Mac-Pro. And it's specifications own my computer's. I actually think a 2.93GHz Processor with an idle power of somewhere around 3.30 is good. Because, it's around 0.35GHz faster than my computer's processor. As well as the FUCKING FOUR Slots to insert hard disks. Up to 4TB of storage, I'm not even going to compare my computer's HDD to 4TB. I feel so sad now.

It is also WAY overpriced. You could get a PC with those specs (or assemble/upgrade one) for much less than the cost of that computer.

Well, I checked to see the prices, and I was amazed. A full $2899 for the quad core processor computer. But if you want an 8-core(Holy fuck, I've never heard of the godlike power of an 8-core processor!), it costs $3799! By the way, the processors are 2.93GHz Each, that's more than my computer (Single-core) has, then times eight!

But anyways, I went on ebay, and looked up a bunch of fast computer parts, just to compile the cost of it. Also, that new Ipod shuffle is amazingly small.

Overall Price of Comparable computer

-Video Card = 56
-Ram = 44
-Processor = 276
-Motherboard = 80
-Sound Card = 8
-Hard Drive = 128 X4 to equal the power of Mac's 4TB = 512
-DVD Drive = 50
-Power Supply = 45

All of that equals $1071. I've heard Mac products use 512MB Video Cards, I threw in a 1GB Video card to balance the fact how I couldn't find any 2.93+ Quad core processors. But still, HALF THE PRICE! Also, I can't believe they could produce a 2.93 x 8 processor...

Now compare 1071 to 2799... Yeah, you were right.

No, no it doesn't. I was going to write in NGers but I changed it to Internet, to refer to all of the technically knowledged geeks on the internet.

My point is that you guys are making fun of something not marketed for you. In fact, I think the fact that Apple overprices this stuff is a kick in the balls to people who are too simple minded to look for and have a decent computer built. So yeah cool

Thank you for collecting and quantifying data that backs up my points. This proves one of the points I tried to make in my thread about macs being too expensive for their hardware specs.

Why didn't you specify that you only meant technically knowledgeable geeks?

Macs don't have good software. All they've got are kiddie games and tax programs. That is why PC's outrun Macs every time.

AND in MacWorld, their obviously biased magazine, they're always ripping on Microsoft by saying they speed past them like a bullet (hardly).

So, this one time, on the Apple website, I went to look at their desktop, and then I chose all the top options and it came to well over $30,000. I almost shat a chicken. The Apple shop in London is bloody cool though.

Who would pay $500 for another 2GB of RAM let alone decide to get 32GB? Fuck you Apple.
