Hi, my name is Nathan Guannan Zhang, but you can call me "Big Dragon Chang" if you like. That's my nickname, I ripped the big dragon part from Bruce Lee (one of my heroes). Since Bruce is known as "Li Xiao Long" (I.E. Little Dragon) and I happen to be the kind of guy who wants to run an airline someday (think Herb Kelleher mixed with Juan Trippe rather than the Laker dude) I figured it might be fun to call myself "Big Dragon". My surname is Zhang, which can be rewritten as Chang, because the two surnames actually refer to the same Chinese character.
A little history about myself.
I'm a college student, freelance writer, frequent flyer, prospective student pilot, careful driver, Asian American, US Citizen, aviation enthusiast, military history enthusiast, and an amateur boxer.
I came to the States at 2 3/4 years, and have been living here since. I love this country, and one of ther main reasons why I'm in college is to get a management degree, so that I can become an officer when I join the military. I am looking at the Air Force, with a career option as a Special Operations pilot. I want to be the one to feel pride in myself and my country every time I talk to some other teenager, but it's still gonna be two years. I get my BBA in one year, and my provided I can get a VFR Private Pilot's License by the end of April, I am looking forward to getting my airline certification in two years. I want to be able to fly the Airbus A380 if I don't get to fly a C-130 Hercules...
Right now I am tooling all night. Trying to get my paper, and evaluation of Cathay Pacific Airline's annual report done before four this morning, so I can get to work on my English paper, which is a comparison of military and business strategy and the applications of lessons of war applied to a new media publishing business (similar to Newgrounds!), done before six in the morning, and to get my speech for my Business Ethics class done before eight in the monring. By that time I will have been awake for 37 hours. For me that's nothing. I have been awake for 48 hours before, and I have a feeling I can tool on for up to 240 hours (10 days of no sleep for those who can't count time). This may come in handy when I work in the military in the future.
Especially since no one wants to deal with a drowsy pilot when they're about to be dropped in to take out enemy troops behind enemy lines...
Well, I should probably say what I'm here for.
If you'd already guessed it, I like to play military-themed games, especially involving special forces and fighter jets. I also like an occasional tank game. But most of all I like games where I have to use strategy. Those I LOVE!
If you know of a good game for someone who happens to have an unwholesome interest in war, please send me a private message.
Oh, and BTW, I'm only interested in warfare because I know that war, while ugly and gruesome, may sometimes be the only answer to a world of war. War can make things go bad or it can end all wars. You just gotta have the right strategy, and you need a killer business plan with what to do with the world after you have made war nonexistent.
Armageddon is a good example of a prophetic war-to-end-all-wars.
Oh, BTW, Armageddon is a battle, not a war.
So I'd just like to say hi. I have a habit of making things protracted, especially in social situations, but that's just because I was raised Asian American, and thus I have adopted traits from Asian culture into my Americanized worldview.
See ya all around!
