its weird fallout 3 did nothing for me, i found the story unengaging and i had no feelings or interest for my character, i felt the same way about oblivion.
game of 08 is a tricky one I really enjoyed sins of a solar empire even if it was massively under-rated

I agree with nominating Brawl, but Modern Warfare was released in 2007.

MGS4 I feel is overrated. No longer is it tactical espionage action.
Just action. Too many on rails sequences, too many restrictions in general I thought. And don't forget the fan service at the end (you know of what I refer)
It's a shame, because personally there's nothing more satisfying than annihilating someone who thought all was behind them was the wind. (In a game of course).
My hopes now lie with Hitman 5 for true stealth gameplay.
GOTY in my opinion? It's difficult to say, Fallout 3 stands out because I haven't been engaged with a game like this for a while, but it is also very shallow in some parts too.
It was a great year for games, it's hard to decide on one.
