Ok, can we please get back to my original question?

I just want to know if anyone here makes progressive house/trance.

I make it ;)
Also, I totally forgot about the Clubhau5 stems, I'll zip them now and send them :P

Wife's been in the hospital since Wednesday. I haven't had a proper snooze since.

Keyboard Recording Features

My Casio keyboard has options for six-channel recording. It works great and sounds great - the only problem is that it overwrites channels way too goddamn easily.

I just recorded the entire main electric-piano track and drum backing to a song in Channel 1, then moved on to bass in Channel 2. Then I started playing around with other backing sounds, and my elbow accidentally brushed the "record" button as I started playing. It assumed that I wanted to record into Channel 1 again and took my playing notes as a cue that I wasn't going to change that, so it instantly overwrote the entire track with silence.

I really just want to break something now.

@Ramem: Sorry to hear. :( Best wishes to both of you.

That's horrible, especially during the holiday season. Hope she recovers soon with no lingering effects.

If I play anything on the black keys of a piano with the pedal, it looks like I know what I'm doing.

I've heard a few people say to stick to only white or black keys when writing music as if they knew what they were doing.

Kind of made me vomit in my mouth a little.

Yeah first you think playing black keys make you look like a good pianist. Then you think using the pedals does. Then you think playing fast does. Then you realize its about musiciansip, not looking cool.

Like the piece I'm playing for a jury this monday. Chopin Nocturne in F minor. Does not really sound like a hard or cool piece, but there's so many layers all with their own articulations, dynamics, and phrasing. So many opportunities to display good musicianship. Thats why I love the song, despite peoples normal reaction: "meh"

Hey hey hey, I mean no disrespect if you guys are doing just that out of lack of composition experience. I just don't like seeing advice like that. It irks me :c

Meh. I think fantasie impromptu is more interesting in terms of his really fast ridiculous songs. It has a 6 against 4 polyrhythm going mosta the time and more interesting harmonies IMO. Revolutionary is rather simplistic. Its just reallllly consistently fast.

Hello, gents.
Ive been hired to do some cocktail piano for my soon-to.be stepmom and I need some help, I could use some tips on playing for a group of drunk people and not sound overly boring, I know my arpeggio runs but im not sure how to do them without sounding too awkward.

A little help here?
