Did you ever notice in brawl... 2009-01-20 07:28:07

Ganondorf and Captain Falcon special moves are the same thing.

Their normal special is a super powerful punch.
Their up special is a jump into the air followed by grabbing the enemy and blowing them up.
Their down special is a flying kick.
And their forward special is a lunging punch into the air.

They are exactly the same, they just look different.

OMFGD I NVR NEW DAT

...but seriously. In Melee they promised a certain number of characters on the roster before the game got released, when it was almost done they realised that they were one short, so, they decided to quick throw ganondorf in, with captain falcon's moveset. THAT'S why they're almost the same.

We had some good times, Newgrounds.

Ah, but there is one major difference, a rather popular one on NG, the knee. Possibly the best move in the ssb world.

What.

Their normal special is a super powerful punch.

Ganon's slower though

Their up special is a jump into the air followed by grabbing the enemy and blowing them up.

Ganon shocks them at short range, and does dark damage from farther away

Their down special is a flying kick.

OK, so that's pretty much the same

And their forward special is a lunging punch into the air.

Falcon punches them. Ganon grabs them, and if he does it in the air, both go dropping downward.

They are exactly the same, they just look different.

Which is where the term 'clones' comes from in SSB
Also, as said earlier, Ganon can't do 'the knee'.

I prefer ganondorfs fair. Its easier to land a hit and it is still quite powerful.

Then explain Toon Link. That was just a disgraceful addition.

My friends and I pretty much require anyone playing Falcon yell "Knee in the face" every time we use the knee. It's just habit now. Ganon's move set has actually departed from Falcon's in Brawl, although the specials are still very similar. He also looks really ridiculous now. What was wrong with OoT ganondorf anyways?

it wasn't just gannon and falcon
Mario and Dr Mario
Fox and Falco
link and young link
Roy and Marth

there was plenty of cloning in melee
