For some reason, I can sense static in the air, thus leaving me able to tell if a t.v. is on or off without being in the same room as the t.v.
Seriously, when a t.v. nearby is on, I feel some live buzzing sensation in my ears and the air around me. I don't feel anything when no t.v. is on.
Before I enter my living room, I close my eyes and see If I feel anything, if I do, I'm certain that the t.v. is on. I'm 100% accurate. Is it just me?

Most adults can hear it because their hearing isn't as good.

Yeah, I totally thought I was some kind of superhero when I was in grade school.
Turns out I was just in grade school.
If you go next to a television when it is turned of then turn it on, you'll hear a high pitched sound.
I know when a tv is on in the other room too, because I can hear the show that's playing.

Hah, I have that shit. I can hear that god-damned annoying sound in my head everytime the TV is on. And not only near TV's, I tend to hear it around electronic devices alot.

Some kid at my school had a really high frequency sound on his cell phone and played it during a test, and everyone else was freaking out except me and the teacher...

Can you all hear it when the room isn't dead-silent? Does the TV have to be muted for you all to hear it?
I've never had a really keen sense of hearing; I don't expect I'm able to hear it.
Didn't they use this notion to keep teenagers from loitering in front of stores. They would pulse out those high frequencies that older customers couldn't here, but the nogood teens could, thus making them go away.

no most people can do that TVs emit a frequency that people with good hearing van pick up. I notice that at school I was walking down the hallway once and I could tell there was a TV I heard that sound.
