It's no secret that I'm a big fan of early grime tunes, spent the day making this remix of an older JME track "If You Don't Know". Used U-he's synth Diva for pretty much all the synthesis including the 808s. Managed to get the mix sounding fat and clean which was tough due to how pushed/dirty I made the synths & drums.

I've been studying and learning for a while how to get my 808s to sit in a harder and more satisfying way, this feels like a step in the right direction. I also took inspiration from a couple of Skrillex trap songs by emulating that octave layered vocal and crunched sub for the moments where all the instruments drop out. There's also some silly easter eggs like the "WAP" bassline quote at 1:11.

There's a slight quality loss and a few dBs shaved off during the upload to NG that I'm unsure how to avoid but I can live with it for the sake of sharing music with my friends on here ^^
