I've been feeling quite melancholic recently, and I realised it's been a long while since I wrote an original song from scratch.

Lyrics:

Ne'er do the waves that fall by this shore

Hearken back to anything more

Than the footprints of those who once stood

Staring out o'er the neighbourhood

Time hath passed and life has moved on

Though we do not forget lost daughters and sons

For in our hearts and our minds they live on

With all faith replenished, their mem'ries we cherish

Forever we'll cherish the days come and gone

Powerful. You arranged and played the organ flawlessly, it really put me in a contemplative mood, like some sacred music I've heard before, it has a strong sense of reverence and awe, and a bit of fear. The vocals and lyrics brought that human warmth and comfort, and tied it with a bow.
What an experience, man.

etherealwinds responds:

Thank you so much! Really appreciate your kind words!

very beautiful Jordi

etherealwinds responds:

Thank you, Guy! I hope you're well :)

A truly lovely and bittersweet taste of melancholia, Jordi. Suffice to say, it puts a knot in my throat and a tear in my eye. We must drink deeply from the well of sorrow, lest we forget those who have gone on before us... <3

etherealwinds responds:

Thank you so much <3333
