In case your wondering the "pray for riddim" detuned saws weren't sampled, I remade them from scratch.

Is cool, great hybrid

Yooo this track is honestly REALLY well put together!! The mixing and mastering is SO crisp and clean, the sound design is very creative and well-made, and I believe it's safe to say that you've added enough unique elements to the track to call it YOUR sound!

There were a few minor things that stuck out to me on my initial listen-through. First, the horn stabs at 0:12 sound pretty dry. It sounds like you added a bit of reverb to them but I suggest adding more decay time. Next, the tempo change transition at 1:16 was a dope idea, I think it could have been executed a little better though. I think the space needed to be filled a bit more, maybe with some more pads or a busier synth line, just something that feels like the track still building even though the tempo is slowing down. I think I'd apply the same notes to the second tempo back into the original tempo as well. It was pretty sudden and I wish more space was filled so it felt like a more natural transition. Lastly, the ending was probably my favorite part of the track, but it needs to not be so sudden! Bring it back down from that climax and try to give the listener a better feeling of release, probably near the same dynamics as the beginning of the song.

I know I listed a good bit of things that could possibly be improved, but honestly, the vast majority of those points don't take away from the entire vibe of the song too much. I think you've developed your sound really well and you should keep working on it so it stands out even more amongst other dubstep artists! Great work!!

The clarity and snappiness of your drums is very nice. However, in favor of these you missed out on what makes dubstep great, which is face meltingly nutty sounding bass modulation.

To be frank, the bass sounds are boring. That's about the long and short of it- the production on the rest of the song is great, but the parts that really matter are subpar. That's not to say that they need to be changed, a lot of it is quite usable. However, they have no impact. They do nothing to fill much space, both volume and frequency wise. In this case I'd recommend to put some distortion on them and play with that, however that's not always the solution.

A song I might point to in an attempt to show you what I mean would be Phone Tap by Space Laces (who is actually an ex-Newgrounder himself!) https://soundcloud.com/space-laces/phone-tap-1 There's no crazy obvious reverb, delay, or other effects on his sound, just very creative sound design.

There are a lot of good ideas and some good execution in here, but there's a lot that can be worked on.

This is for the Review for Review thread.

Overall I really like this song. The production and sound quality is great. The first minute is really really strong. However, in my opinion the song loses a lot of its power from about 1:10 to 2:30. Maybe your VIP version would profit from an additional sound layer there, some background synth harmonies for example or some more diverse percussion. After that it gets better again, but does not regain its initial strength. More varied 'orchestral' effects might be helpful. The ending is very abrupt. Some reworking here would definitely be worthwhile, too.
Kepp publishing such great work here!
