And now for something completely different. I'm a very big fan of old Ramonesy, Screeching Weasel type pop punk, and so when I heard one of my favorite latin pop punk bands played their last show in August of 2017, I took it upon myself to record one of their latest songs, which had only come out at a rehearsal session and as of now is only up on Soundcloud. I asked the lead guitarist for permission and he gave me the go ahead when I did this. The tune means a lot to me, its lyrics concern the passing of a loved one, which really hit me hard, since I was dealing with the death of a close family member when it did. One of my better recorded vocal performances, at least it's understandable. I tried to go for a cross between the original vocalist's singing style for the main vocals and the second singer's style for the backing vocals, kinda like how it came out, though I think the main vox are a little overloud at some points. I couldn't get the middle part to sound right, since I learned the whole thing by ear but the dude from the band said it sounded cool anyway.
