Quartz County is a small county in northeastern Georgia made in 1825. It's not just small in size, but in population. There are around 1,700 people currently living there. Despite being a county, it doesn't have much history outside of the births of several famous civil war troopers. The name of "Quartz" comes from one of the founder's daughters.
