When Life Gives You Lemons

They told me when life gives you lemons, make lemonade. Now I'm stuck with 56l of Lemonade and my problems aren't disappearing anytime soon.

Lyrics:
My cup is running over
With sugar and fruit juice
They told me to make Lemonade
But forgot it has no use
Still somebody calls me crazy
Though I only tell the truth
Cause my cup is running over
With sugar and fruit juice

In all seriousness though, Wednesday morning I ended up scrapping my original ngadm submissions that I'd spent over 30 hours on because I finally realized that I hated it, so ended up having to start all over again, and this was the results. Not as polished as I would have wanted, but at least I like this one better.

The lyrics for the vocal part was a bit random tbh. I wasn't really the biggest fan of lemonade or lemons as a kid, so when I first heard the saying "When life gives you lemons, make lemons" I always thought it was stupid because the only difference is that instead of a bunch of lemons I would now have a bunch of lemonade instead.

Good luck to all contestants there are a lot of ridiculously good submissions, and I can't wait to see how the contest plays out :D.

Very nice

I have to say this was pretty solid but the vocals are a bit hard on the ears maybe the music drowns it a bit. But you can still hear it and overall was a nice track you have here i enjoyed it. Anyways keep making awsome stuff.

Classic

I like the soothing drone at the beginning and the smooth pads at :16. The transition at :16 could’ve been a bit less abrupt, but I like the progression from there - the emotional quality of the strings and the gradual sense of build over the course of the 2nd minute are both really nice. The vocals are fun, although I think you could’ve enunciated some of the consonants a bit more (especially the s in “use”). The mixing is good, and I like the melodies and atmosphere of the piece. The breakdown at 2:24 was good for some structural variety, and I like the emotional appeal of the section at 2:41. The middle section from 2:24 to 4:00 and the beginning 1.5 minutes are both pretty drawn-out, though, without a strong sense of direction and a lot of repetitive riffs. The vocals at 4:01 could’ve come through the mix a bit clearer, but I like the variations on the melodies at 4:32. By the end, the vocals also get pretty repetitive, and I thought the fade-out ending was a tad lazy. Overall, I like the melodies, mood, mixing, and thematic content of the piece. The arrangement and compositional details could use a bit of tightening, but it’s still a catchy and enjoyable piece. Keep at it, Ectisity! :)

Great Production! Awesome Track!

With music like this all problems are finna just evaporate. :) Love that description too.

Bit hard to hear the vocals though - the music drowns them out a bit.
